Dhaivat is a versatile percussionist born and brought up in the UK who has performed with leading Bollywood, Bhangra and folk artists.   He has performed throughout the UK and toured around the world with his current band The 515 Crew as well as other British Asian acts playing on staged big and small including Wembley Arena, The Royal Albert Hall and Trafalgar Square to name a few.   Having learnt tabla starting aged 3 from his father, Kumar Acharya, Dhaivat has developed his art further under the guidance of gurus both here in the UK and in India, where Dhaivat spent 6 months learning from the great Pakhawaj maestro Pt Bhavani Shankar.   Dhaivat has performed in the West End musical Bend it Like Beckham and has contributed to various music albums produced in the UK and Mumbai as well as featuring in music videos released by top UK artists.
