

Kesha’s formal Kathak training began with Nilima Devi M.B.E. at Centre for Indian Classical Dance (CICD) where she has accomplished her ISTD examinations up to grade 6 in Kathak Dance. She is under the tutelage of renowned dance exponent Smt. Nirupama Rajendra of Abhinava Dance Company, Bangalore. Kesha trains and regularly performs with Nritarutya Indian Contemporary Dance Company and Daksha Sheth Dance Company.
Kesha is being mentored by Claire Hicks, recent Producer of Dance 4 and now independent producer and curator through the PAL mentoring scheme. In September & November 2014, Kesha gave her first two fully fledged Kathak Solo recitals in Bangalore and the UK. She has performed at several prestigious venues like the Royal Festival Hall, the House of Commons and at events like Her Majesty’s Royal Diamond Jubilee Pageant and China Arts Festival. She had the honour of performing for the ‘Ambani’s, ‘Amitabh, Bachchan’ and Famous Cricketer ‘Sachin Tendulkar’s’ official inauguration ceremony.
Kesha has significant teaching and choreographic experience gained in the UK. She has been the recipient of numerous awards for her contribution to the community through cultural dance performance and activity.
