

Steve Nijjar works as an actor, writer and director. His theatre productions have won royalties, been staged again due to public demand, and sold out nationally. His films have won awards and have been screened at many prestigious film festivals worldwide. The productions have allowed to Steve work with actors and celebrities of great calibre, including in Bollywood. With a passion to create powerful stories about ordinary people, Steve picks tales that have something to say, or have subject matters that are often taboo or difficult to talk about. Steve’s last production, ‘How to Kill Your Westernised Daughter’ attracted national audiences. ‘A Storm in a Chai Cup’ is the first theatre production where Steve has helped develop and direct the work of another writer. From theatre productions that have sold out London’s Lyric Hammersmith to films that have premiered at Edinburgh’s International Film Festival, Steve aims to produce original, progressive, high quality cross cultural material that is accessible to all.
