A favourite from the 2009 National Arts festival in Grahamstown, Ncamisa! Kiss The Women is the moving story of a football-playing Black lesbian in South Africa.
Translated from isiXhosa as “kiss the woman”, Ncamisa is punctuated with football, dance, song, sex and love. This one woman show suggests to kiss the women is better than killing them in a play about gay women’s experiences in the townships.
