A dark satirical fable by Chris Fung
Genre: Performance, Thriller

Synopsis
Based on the teachings of Lama Thubten Yeshe, THE SOCIETY FOR NEW CUISINE is a Buddhist allegory by East-Asian writer-performer Chris Fung (as seen in Frozen, Cyrano de Bergerac in the West End, Evita at Regents Park). It deals with capitalism, desire, heartbreak and what it takes to truly find satisfaction.
In this dark satirical fable, a rational man goes through a cataclysmic awakening and takes stock of his life. Guided by a friendly organisation, he confronts societal taboos and his existential crisis by eating… things. This takes him to increasingly dark extremes until finally he is persuaded that he’ll find satisfaction in an irreversible, bloody decision.
